RUTOPIA (Route to Utopia)
RUTOPIA was born from lived experiences and a long journey rooted in Bali. It was founded by Gusde, Guspri, and Angga—who grew up on this island and were shaped by its environment, natural rhythms, and everyday culture from an early age. From there, a way of living, creating, and sharing emerged organically. From these values, we formulated a guiding framework within the brand that we call the Island Code—an attitude toward how we live, create, and collaborate.
HOW WE LIVE
We live from what we experience. Our way of life is shaped by daily experiences closely connected to nature and open spaces. Surfing, skateboarding, motorcycling, and various forms of travel and adventure are not merely activities, but routines that shape how we understand time, process, and balance.
These experiences cultivate our sensitivity toward function, durability, and comfort—core values that we carry into every product we create.
Growing alongside a community has taught us the meaning of togetherness, slow processes, and honest relationships—with nature and with one another. These are values we learned at home, from the environment where we grew up, long before we understood what a brand, product, or industry was.
HOW WE CREATE
We create with our own hands. RUTOPIA was born from the desire to translate our way of living into products that are functional and relevant. Experiences from surfing, skating the streets, long-distance riding, and exploring new spaces serve as the main inspiration behind every detail—from design and material selection to construction. We go through this process with direct involvement: learning, experimenting, and refining. Every product is shaped by attention to function, durability, and honesty in process. For us, creating is a form of responsibility—not about following trends, but about responding to real needs drawn from what we live ourselves.
HOW WE COLLABORATE
We share space based on shared values.
RUTOPIA grows alongside its community. We believe collaboration is not about expanding reach, but about sharing space with individuals and groups who share the same perspective. Relationships are built organically—through experiences, processes, and trust developed over time.
We do not seek collaborations to exploit where we come from, but to expand the conversation around values, ways of living, and ways of creating that we believe in
